Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo
State
Governor
Rochas Okorocha of Imo State yesterday said 99 per cent of workers in the state
are not computer literate.
Okorocha, during an interaction with journalists, added that many of the
workers are redundant. He condemned a situation where an office meant for one or two persons would be jam packed with about six-eight workers who are not doing anything.
The governor stated the commitment of his administration to computerize government ministries and educate workers on how to handle computers.
On workers salaries, Okorocha said government was not owing, adding that the only people they are ‘‘having issues’’ with are the health workers and some parastatals.
He said:”It is not true that Imo State government is owning workers”.
