Happening Now: Swearing-in of Ministers gets underway in Aso Rock

The inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s 36 ministers is ongoing inside the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The event which is presided over by the President has Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo; President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki; and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara in attendance.

They are taking their oaths before the President in batches of four ministers. Some of those so far sworn in are Okechukwu Emelema(Abia), Alhaji Mohammdu Bello (-Adamawa ), Sen. Udo Udoma( -Akwa Ibom) and Chris Ngige (Anambra State), Audu Ogbe, Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, Pastor Usani Uguru, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu.

Before the inauguration of the batches, Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, reads a summary of the biography of each of the Ministers-designate.
