Doctors and nurses have taken to Twitter to chronicle their Christmas Day duties using the hashtag #NHSWorkingXmas.

The phenomenon became a Christmas Day Twitter sensation across the country, trending on Twitter ahead of the unveiling of the number one single spot which could go to the Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir.
